Bent Fork is named in honor of Executive Chef, Jayson Bonino's grandma, Clellie.

Grandma Clellie never let anyone in her house leave without eating something.  The first thing out of her mouth was always, "Are you hungry?"  Grandma Clellie lived through the Great Depression & was always very frugal.  She would serve a loving, homemade meal with one of many forks that did not match and were, almost surely, bent.  Jayson told his Grandma Clellie that when he opened his own restaurant, he would name it Bent Fork, in her honor.  So, with love, Grandma, this is for you.

Executive Chef Jayson Bonino, has been dreaming up incredible dishes for over 23 years.  He has worked in many fine establishments, including the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle & two private dining clubs.  His mentor, Ludger Szmania, Executive Chef & Owner of Szmania's in Magnolia, WA, always told him to put the guest first.  He also reminded him of the importance of "tasting as you go." 

Jayson & his wife, Shelly, moved to Southern Utah from Phoenix in November 2008.  They were both born & raised in Utah & came back to bring their son closer to his extended family.  Now, Jayson’s long-lived dream of opening his restaurant has become a reality.  Bent Fork opened its doors on September 8, 2009.
